He was predeceased by : his parents, Paul Thompson and Jane Thompson. He is survived by : his wife Lucy Bellisari Thompson; his daughters, Trina Barnhart and Michelle Crawford (Kevin); his grandchildren, Andrew (Morgan), Nevaeh, Avery, Mason, Mallory, Mady J. and Tyler; his great grandchildren, Liam and Layken; and his siblings, Bill (Joyce), Curt, Walter (Diane), Sharan Ritzman (Steve) and Karin Miller. He is also survived by in-laws, nieces, nephews and especially his fury companions.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, June 25th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the Maeder-Quint-Tiberi Funeral Home (1068 S High St, Columbus, OH 43206). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, June 25th 2024 at 6:30 PM at the same location.
