She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Smith and Verna Smith (Fultz); her siblings, Clifford Smith, Sr., Wayne Smith, Sr., John Smith Sr. and Phyllis Smith McCarter (Susie); her grandson DeShawn Hawkins; and her daughter Lucinda Thompson (Arthur).
She is survived by: her children, Christopher Garnes (Yolanda), Danette Garnes and Margaret Rikard (Mario); and her sisters, Martha Cosby (Roger) and Marie Edwards. She is also survived by other relatives and friends.
