He was predeceased by: his parents, David Lefkowitz and Gert Lefkowitz; and his brothers, Barry and Jimmy. He is survived by: his wife Judith Leventhal Lefkowitz; his children, Michael, Steven (Clarissa) and Randi Stummer (Mike); his grandchildren, Benjamin, Jack, Matthew, Jamie Rose, Abigail, William, Frances and Nathan; and his family Columbus.
