He was predeceased by: his parents, Josephine Hess and Joseph Hess; his siblings, Michael, John (Roberta), James, Leo Hess, Linda and Betty Hess; his son Vincent Hess; his former wife Bennie Moore Hess; his great grandchild Jamir Hess; his granddaughter Nykesia "Kesi" Hess; and his great grandchild Grayson (Nykesia "Kesi").
He is survived by: his brother Earl Hess (Sylvia) of Ontario, Ohio; his children, Bobby Hess of Buford, Robbie Hess of Westerville, Ohio and Gilia "Gidget" Hess of Acworth, Georgia; his grandchildren, Vincent Durrell Hess Jr. of Mansfield, Ohio, Natajshia "Tae" Hess of Dublin and Nori Hess of Acworth; his great grandchild Tariq Hess; his former wife Willa Mingle of Douglasville; and his granddaughter Senita Feagin of New Albany. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Chapel of Peace - Mansfield Plant. A funeral service was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Marlan Gary Funeral Home (Formerly Williams Funeral Service) (753 McPherson St, Mansfield, OH 44903). A burial was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 at the Mansfield Cemetery (389 Altamont Ave, Mansfield, OH 44902).
