With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Richard Mettke (Columbus, Ohio), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 5, 2024 at the age of 66. He was predeceased by: his brother Gary Mettke; and his parents, Gerhard Mettke and Erna Mettke. He is survived by: his siblings, Karoline Bolin (Dave) and Karl Mettke (Sally); his children, Richard Mettke Jr., Aaron Mettke and Brittney Mettke Powers (Gerard Powers); his grandchildren, Rhea, Milo, Luca and Koda; his former wife Lisa Mettke; and his pet Sophie. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Short North Chapel (34 W 2nd Ave, Columbus, OH 43201). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
