He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Edwin and Martha Elizabeth Mayer (Brown); his brother Earl Edwin Mayer, Jr.; and his son-in-law Michael John Thomas McIntyre. He is survived by: his wife Mary Ellen; his children, Rebecca McIntyre, Richard Lee Mayer, II (Jaclyn) and Leesa Hartman (Richard); his grandchildren, Eric Mayer, Patrick Mayer (Taryn), Jon Morton (Lisa), Chad Hartman (Casey), Vince Hartman, Cameron Hartman (Haley), Claire McIntyre, Colleen Alexander (Todd) and Sean McIntyre (Julie Wischer); and his great grandchildren, Finn, Emma Mayer, Peyton, Isaiah, Sage Morton, Elijah, Reagan Hartman, Carter, Benjamin Hartman, Madison, Kiera Alexander and Ryan McIntyre.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Worthington Christian Church (8145 N High St, Columbus, OH 43235). A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
