He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Crawford and Pensacola Byrd; and his siblings, Alice Crawford, James Crawford and Fred Crawford.
He is survived by: his wife Eva Lou; his children, Rick Crawford, Jr. (Laura), Ken Crawford (Shelly) and Penny Crawford-Alexander (Greg); his grandsons, Bryce Crawford (Hallie), Evan Crawford (Nichole) and Grant Crawford; and his great grandchildren, Rian, Devyn and Keo. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives, caregivers, and friends.
The family welcomes donations in Richard's memory to the National Geographic Society in lieu of flowers.
