With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ralph H. Root Jr. (Columbus, Ohio), who passed away on January 10, 2024 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph H. Sr. Root and Ann Root (McClintock); his in-laws, Russell and Miriam Forsythe (Harrod); and his brothers-in-law, Norman McElheny and John Stiffler.

He is survived by: his wife Kathy Root (Forsythe); his children, Beth Maisenbacher (Chris), Ralph Root III (Peggy), Wesley Root (Cindy) and Bradley Root (Kynthia Droesch); his grandchildren, C. J. Maisenbacher (Megan), Katina Maisenbacher, Joshua Root (Jessica), Justin Root, Zachary Root, William Root, Emalie Root, Maxwell Root and Leona Droesch; his great grandchild Alexander Root; his sisters, Joan McElheny and Virginia Stiffler; and his sister-in-law Sandy (Dave).
