He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter C. Edwards and Alda Ruth Edwards (Deffenbaugh). He is survived by: his wife Susan Edwards (Moore); his sons, Philip Scott Edwards (Christina) and Keith Alan Edwards (Deana); his grandchildren, Samantha, Spencer, Ellie, Brooke and Emily; and his great grandchildren, Avery and Zane.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Glenwood United Methodist Church in Philip's name.
