With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Otha Gilyard (Columbus, Ohio), who passed away on December 1, 2022 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his mother Caldonia Gilyard Moore; his grandparents, Robert and Della Gilyard; his brothers, Eugene, Roosevelt, Archie and Marvin; and his daughter Kareem.

He is survived by: his wife Frieda Rand Gilyard; his daughters, Karla and Margeaux Jackson; his brothers, Otis Moore (Maria), William, Jerry Moore (Jacquelin) and Terry Moore (Lynn); his godchildren, Howard McCullough, Brandi Lockett, Danielle Carter, Shawn Gardner, Reverend Sheldon McCullough, CJ McClure and Charline McClure; and his siblings-in-law, Lary Rand (Denice), Carolyn Rand and Veneda Saunders. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends.
