He was predeceased by: his parents, James Hawthorne and Betty Louise Hawthorne (Arnold); and his siblings, Jesse C. Hawthorne, James "Ed" Hawthorne of William and Robert "Terry" Hawthorne.
He is survived by: his sons, Nathaniel Hawthorne Jr. (Kamilah) and Marlin Hawthorne (Brooke); his grandchildren, Nygel, Amare, Mariah, Mareon and Mya; and his siblings, Shirley Ann Mitchell, John L. Hawthorne (Doreen), Henry Lee Hawthorne (Lyn), Betty Jean Wallace (Phillip) and Dorothy Mae Harper. He is also survived by nephews, nieces, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, March 1st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Grace Fellowship (575 Diley Rd, Pickerington, OH 43147). A burial will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens (5600 E Broad St, Columbus, OH 43213).
