She was predeceased by: her parents, Mattie Mae Miller and Joe Grady Silmon Sr.; her siblings, Willie Lee Burton Sr., Wilma Ruth Hill, Joe Grady Silmon Jr., Emery Miller and Mack Miller; her son Darnell Spann; her grandson Winston Spann; and her former husbands, Albert Spann and James Daniels.
She is survived by: her children, Robertha Spann, Albert Spann Jr., Anita Spann and Linda Spann; her sister Minnie Knox; and her grandchildren, Salena Clay, Willie Clay, Benny Spann, Anton Clay, Albert Bailey, Emanuel Spann, Donita Moore and Rashawda Brasfield. She is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
