She was predeceased by: her husband Dr. Herbert S. Bell; and her parents, William Pinerman and Jean Pinerman of Baltimore. She is survived by: her children, Dr. Alan Bell (Susan) of Dover, Massachusetts, Jayne Nathans (Rick) of Blacklick, Ohio, Debbie Garber (late Craig) of Carol Stream and Nancy Brenner (Steve) of Cortlandt Manor; her grandchildren, Amanda Bell Steinhandler (Andrew), David Bell, Cara Wasserstrom (Chris Weible), Lauren Wasserstrom (Nick Sylvest), Bryan Wasserstrom, Westyn Garber, Jena Garber, Jordan Brenner (Amanda) and Joshua Brenner (Cooper Rohan); her great grandchildren, Bryn, Blake Steinhandler, Daniella, Lilah Weible, Hudson and Freddy Brenner; her sisters-in-law, Eileen Pinerman (Mervyn) of Baltimore and Cantor Susan Bell Alcott (Mark) of New Rochelle; her in-laws, Dr Julius W. Bell and Frances Orman Bell of New York City; her brother Dr. Mervyn Pinerman; and her children-in-law, Diane Bell and Craig Garber.
A funeral service was held on Monday, March 31st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Berkowitz-Kumin-Bookatz Memorial Chapel (1985 S Taylor Rd, Cleveland Heights, OH 44118). A reception was held on Monday, March 31st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, on Tuesday, April 1st 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM and from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Residence INN Beachwood (3628 Park E Dr, Beachwood, OH 44122).
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Marilyn's memory are suggested to the Alzheimer's Association, the American Cancer Society, Zussman Community Hospice or B'nai Jeshurun Congregation.
