He was predeceased by: his wife Jean Norman Gibson; his parents, William O. Gibson and Arlie Mae Goins Gibson; and his siblings, Thelma Johnson, Nancy Fowler, Winifred Stewart (Peggy), Dayle Gibson, Ruth Grilley, Gretta Viney, Charles Eugene Gibson and Loretta Powelson.
He is survived by: his children, Kimberlee Montgomery (David), Marcia Brooks and Terry Gibson (Nicole); his grandchildren, Ashlee Young (Paul), Shannon Braxton (Kris), Blake Montgomery (Janelle), Taylor Gibson, Sydney Gibson, Malia Brooks and Giana Brooks; his great grandchildren, Rylee Young, Carson Young, Weston Montgomery and Julianna Montgomery; and his friend Leroy Norris.
Viewing was held on Tuesday, October 15th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Hillis, Combs & Nestor Funeral Home (935 Forest Ave, Zanesville, OH 43701). A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, October 15th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the National Kidney Foundation, American Lung Association or American Heart Association.
