It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Cheryl Renay Tibbs of Columbus, Ohio, who passed away on December 30, 2024, at the age of 67, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Willa Brooks and David Watkins; her grandparents, Lula and William; her sister LaTanya Sanders; and her nephew Steven Sanders.
She is survived by: her husband Jeffrey Tibbs; her daughter Latanya Averett-Hampton (Donjuan Hampton); her grandchildren, Tatiana Averett, Natalya Averett and Donjuan Hampton Jr.; her siblings, Letitia Dillard and Robert Davis (Tempie); and her brother-in-law Laudie Sanders. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A funeral service was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Green Lawn Cemetery (1000 Greenlawn Ave, Columbus, OH 43223).
