He was predeceased by: his wife Rachel E. Hix (Galentine); his parents, Charles R. Hix Sr. and Lois M. Hix (Willoughby); and his sisters, Charlene Bragg (Hix) and Ruth Ann Hix.
He is survived by: his brother Paul "Oogie" Hix; his daughters, Tina Davis (Pat) and Lois Sloan (Steve); his grandchildren, Madison Davis, Ricky Jacobs (Brianne), Ted Jacobs, Jimmy Jacobs and Josie Sloan; and his great grandchildren, Rosalie, Sebastian and Iris.
Contributions to military support organizations are welcomed in lieu of flowers.
