With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Betty Hartwig (Columbus, Ohio), who passed away on December 12, 2024 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, George Dorn and Margaret Dorn (Eberts); her children, Patricia Vogeley and Steven Pressler; her stepson Larry Hartwig; her husbands, Robert Pressler and Gerald Maxwell; and her sisters, Joann Hall (Jim) and Helen Guy (Jim).
She is survived by: her children, Vickie Ream (Chuck) and William Pressler (Gina); her stepdaughter Judith Summers (Dave); her children-in-law, Teresa Pressler and Dave Vogeley; her grandchildren, Debbie McGrath (Sean), Christie Sasse (Scott), Kevin Ream (Lori), Ashley Schmelzer (Kris), Alison Helser (Nathan) and Jane Norris (Dave); and her great grandchildren, Megan, Tyler-Ann, Amanda McGrath, Gage, Blake, Brian Sasse, Tyler, Emery, Lillian Ream, Alex, Will Schmelzer, Logan, Kyle Helser, Carly, Cate, Drew Norris, Peyton and Brady Summers. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, December 18th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Maeder Quint Tiberi Funeral Home (1068 S High St, Columbus, OH 43206). A funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, December 18th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Our Mother of Sorrows Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of the donor's choice in Betty's name.
