He was predeceased by: his parents, Irving Fireman and Sylvia Fireman. He is survived by: his wife Eva; his children, Micha and Naomi; his son-in-law Noah; and his siblings, Ted Fireman, Judie Ashkenaz and Steve Fireman. He is also survived by relatives and friends.
A shiva was held on Sunday, January 5th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, on Monday, January 6th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Thursday, January 9th 2025 at 5:30 PM. A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Epstein Memorial Chapel (3232 E Main St, Columbus, OH 43213). A burial was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 at the New Tifereth Israel Cemetery (2565 Performance Way, Columbus, OH 43207).
In remembrance of Ben's life and commitment to justice, in lieu of flowers, the family asks that charitable donations be made to American Jewish World Service or National Public Radio (NPR).
