He was predeceased by: his daughter Anna R. McCarroll; his sister Asenath McCarroll; his father Robert L. McCarroll, Jr.; and his grandfathers, William Smith (Dorothy) and Robert McCarroll, Sr. (Martha).

He is survived by: his mother Yvette McCarroll-Shipp (Philip); his children, Kamron McCarroll, Dezjuano Mack, Dee-Ahji (Nazarae McCarroll) and David (Anajae Johnson); and his siblings, April Billue, Tamara McCarroll (Daniel), Niquita McCarroll and Robert L. McCarroll III (Candice). He is also survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
