He was predeceased by: his parents, Ben Maag and Philomena Maag (Feltman); his wife Rosemary Diemer; his daughter Nancy Maag; his siblings, Harold, Omer, Dan (Jenny), James, Carl Maag, Mildred Roof (Wilber "Web"), Evelyn Wannemacher (Harold) and Catherine "Katie" Deters (Harold); and his siblings-in-law, Erwin Diemer (Alvina), Rita Kiene (Cornelius "Bud") and Shirley Maag.
He is survived by: his children, Greg Maag (Debra) of Ottawa, Keith Maag (Brenda) of Ottawa, Alan Maag of Columbus Grove, Barbara Maag of Columbus Grove and Cindy Stant (Scott) of Pandora; his grandchildren, Alex Maag of Dayton, Curtis Maag of Columbus, Eric Maag of Cincinnati, Steven Maag (Becca) of New Bavaria, Justin Maag of Ottawa, Casey Stant of Pandora, Emily Woodard (Joshua) of Evans, GA, Amy Maag of Columbus and Michelle Maag of Ottawa; his siblings, Eugene Maag of Columbus Grove, Dennis Maag (Rita) of Kalida, Leroy Maag (Karen) of Columbus Grove and Marcia Kuhlman (James) of Ottawa; and his sisters-in-law, Viola Maag of Leipsic, Rita Maag of Ottawa and Alice Jane Bendure of Bryan.
