He was predeceased by: his parents, Leroy Cutler and Doris Cutler (Goldsmith); and his grandson Billy Pachalis. He is survived by: his wife Lois J. Basinger; his children, Robert Cutler, Jr., Thomas Cutler, James Cutler (Teanille) and Vikki Pachalis (William); and his siblings, Richard Cutler (Janice) and Shirley Cutler. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, six great grandchildren.
