With solemn reverence, we commemorate Lewis E. Bassett of Columbus Grove, Ohio, whose life came to an end on March 5, 2025 at the age of 101, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Bassett and Doris Bassett (Giffin); his wife Imogene Bassett (Anderson); his great grandchildren, Brady Bassett and Michael Brodman; and his siblings, William Bassett and Jeannie Skinner.
He is survived by: his children, Dennis Bassett (Pat) of Columbus Grove, Nancy Hitchings (Dennis) of Dublin, David Bassett (Kim) of Lima and Rosemary Spearman (Dan) of Wapakoneta; and his brothers, James Bassett of Lima, Kenneth Bassett (Mary Helen) of Lincoln, MA and Thomas Bassett of Columbus. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 10th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Pleasant View Church of the Brethren (4950 N Thayer Rd, Lima, OH 45807). A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 10th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
