He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Harry L. Carpenter and Ermah H. Carpenter (Gebhardt); his children, Randy Carpenter and Julie Bormuth; his brother-in-law Bobby Gray; his siblings, Dorothy Gray, Ruth Beidelschies (Richard), Tom Carpenter (Carolyn), Jim Carpenter (Marlene) and Calvin Carpenter (Patty); his stepgrandsons, Jon and David Bormuth; his children-in-law, Effy Carpenter and Brad Bormuth; and his spouse Dallice Newman. He was also cherished by three step great grandchildren.
