He was predeceased by: his mother Mildred J Arnold (Spaw); his stepsiblings, Gina M Flaute and Anthony L Arnold; and his niece Sarah Flaute. He is survived by: his father Frederick R Arnold Jr. (Marsha); and his stepdaughter Marilyn Verhoff.

Memorial contributions may be made to St Jude's Hospital or to the MDA (Muscular Dystrophy Association).
