It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Eugene Maag of Columbus Grove, Ohio, born in Kalida, Ohio, who passed away on October 28, 2020, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ben Maag and Philomena Maag (Feltman); and his brothers, Harold Maag, Omer Maag (Viola), Dan Maag (Jennie), James Maag, Carl Maag (Rita) and Urban Maag (Rosie).
He is survived by: his spouse Shirley Borck; his daughter Beth Recker (Roger) of Glandorf, Ohio.; his grandchildren, Cory Maag (Trista), Ryan Maag, Eric Maag (Kendra), Krista Broderick (KT), Kurt Recker (Andrea), Jerred (Jenna), Brian Recker (Angela), Josh Maag, Racheal Basinger (Austin) and Erin Maag; his siblings, Dennis Maag (Rita), Leroy Maag, Marcia Kuhlman (Jim), Evelyn Wannemacher (Harold), Catherine Deters (Harold) and Mildred Roof (Wilbur); and his sister-in-law Karen Maag.
"We want everyone to rest assured that if you are in anyway uncomfortable with attending the viewing and/or the funeral due to COVID, we as a family understand.". Due to COVID, facemasks and social distancing will be required for viewing and funeral services.
