She was predeceased by: her parents, Vincent Niese and Mary Niese (Kleman); her husband Alvin "Dick" Schroeder; her brothers, Donald Niese (Marvelle), Paul Niese and Melvin Niese; her grandson Daniel Dunlap; and her great grandchild Kennedy Schroeder.

She is survived by: her children, William Schroeder (Tammy), Jeffrey Schroeder (Louann), Michael Schroeder (Wendy), Mary Jo Inkrot (Mark), Nancy Gertsen (Jeff), Jane Dunlap (James), Sandra Roebke (Donald) and Krisann Haselman (Martin); her sisters, Marie Pothast (Ralph) and Norma Michelsen (Dennis); and her sisters-in-law, Dorothy Niese, Eileen Niese, Ruth Schroeder and Mary Ann Schroeder. She is also survived by 32 grandchildren; 62 great grandchildren.

Preferred memorials can be made to St. Anthony's Parish, Putnam County Council on Aging or Putnam County Homecare and Hospice.
