Dean M. Goedde Obituary
Dean "TOAD" Goedde, 64, passed away at his home near Columbus Grove on May 2, 2022. He was born on November 19, 1957, to Raymond and Mary (Steele) Goedde who both preceded him in death.
On July 9, 1983, he married his soul mate Shirley Tobe, who survives.
Dean is survived by his daughters, Krystle Grenier, Columbus Grove, and Desiray (John) Engberg, Elida, and his son, Michael (Sarah) Goedde, Independence, KY, along with one sister, Brenda (Larry) Warnecke, Ft. Jennings and his grand-children Nakia and Briella Grenier, Also surviving are his mother-in-law, Joan Tobe, his sisters-in-law Marrianne Tobe, Lois Tobe, and Linda (Carl) Fagan and brothers-in-law Mike (Doris) Tobe, Robert (Pam) Tobe, and Mark Tobe along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceding Dean in death were his brother Dave Goedde, sister Beth Goedde, his niece Leanne Pardo, his father-in-law Robert Tobe, and his brothers -in-law Elmer Tobe and Roy Tobe.
Dean was a member of the Columbus Grove High School class of 1976 and St. Anthony's Catholic Church. He was employed at Best One Tire and was an ASE Certified mechanic. He was a mechanic for 49 years and was passionate about restoring cars, especially Ford Mustangs. Dean loved Elvis and what he termed "oldie-goldie" music. He also enjoyed playing cards and attending swap meets. He loved spending time with his family and friends. He was a loving husband, father, and "Papa Toad" to his grandkids.
Friends may call from 2:00-4:00 & 6:00-8:00 on Friday, May 6, 2022, and 9:00 till time of service on Saturday at Hartman Sons Funeral Home, Columbus Grove. Services will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 7, 2022, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Columbus Grove. Father David Ritchie will officiate with burial to follow at St. Anthony's Cemetery, Columbus Grove.
