He was predeceased by: his parents, Justin Basinger and Elsie Basinger (DeCamp); and his brothers-in-law, Lester Butler, Dale Romick, Joe Irwin and Paul Irwin (Virginia).
He is survived by: his wife Betty L. Irwin; his children, Justin Basinger (Sharon) of Bluffton, Jane Patton of Indiana and Theresa Basinger of Pennsylvania; and his sister Roberta Romick of Findlay. He is also survived by six grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren.
