He was predeceased by: his parents, Bert Vance and Myrtle May Core (Bowers); his wife Joyce Ann Barto; his son Robert N. Core; and his sisters, Helen Benroth (Hap), Alice Irwin (Clifford), Mary Eleanor "Sue" Ridenour (Glen), Francis Downing (Edsel) and Myrtle May Core.
He is survived by: his children, David Core (Donna), Brent (Sheri), Angela Bogart (William) and Dena Vermillion (Jeff); his daughter-in-law Evangelen Core; his grandchildren, Charlotte Collins (Jason), Katey Core, Gwenda Flanary (Kevin), Scott Core (Kem), Matthew Core (Allison), Mechelle Barber (Eric), Steven Core (Molly), Rebecca Hooper (Cody), Dana Cress (Andrew) and Erin Bogart (Jordan); and his sister Mildred "Jo" Hawk (Wendel).
