He was predeceased by: his parents, John Bower and Carolyn Haas Bower; his former wife Anita Jean Bower; and his brother Donald Dean Bower. He is survived by: his wife Esther Workman Bower; his son Chris Bower (Crystal) of Kent; his sister Celia Sneddon of Columbiana; his granddaughters, Katelyn Bower, Megan Bower and Jordan Bower; his stepsons, Larry Workman (Melody) of Leetonia and Michael Workman (Marsha) of Rock Hill, SC; and his sister-in-law Alice Bower. He is also survived by five step grandchildren; twelve step great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers memorial donation may be made to Mount Calvary, Leetonia.
