He was predeceased by: his parents, Ensign Sauerwein and Maybelle Sauerwein (Weikert); his former wife Dorothy Lingafelt; and his siblings, Gertrude Akerman, Florence Burkhart, Cora Rapp, Gladys Schaffer, Ansel, Arnold and Raymond.
He is survived by: his wife Sauerwein Farm; his children, Phyllis Porter (Ross) of Columbiana, Charles (Salem), Robert (Kim) of Columbiana and Ed of Canfield; his grandchildren, Scott Stear (April), Allison, Joe, Mitchell Sauerwein and Sarah Withers (Jake); and his great grandchildren, Whitney, Hunter, Levi Stear, Jenna, Jacob Sauerwein and Weston Withers.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests that donations may be made to the Paradise Church, 10020 New Buffalo Road, Canfield, OH 44406.
