He is survived by: his wife Frances Jean Fitzimons; his children, Tamra J. Hess (Todd Lanterman) and Jeffrey R. Hess (Louanne); his grandsons, Loren A., Joseph Leskosky and Samuel J. Hess (Sarah Kornbau); his parents-in-law, Helen Hess, Betty Thompson, Dorothy Amrhein, Bernice Shoemaker, Ruby, William Shultz, David F. Hess, Terry L. Hess, Beth, Jon Mark, Carole and Vincent Coppola; and his cousin David Grove.
