It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Merlin Knauff of Columbiana, Ohio, born in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania, who passed away on February 16, 2021, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Rev. Homer J. Knauff and Christina A. Knauff (Elsass); his wife Katherine Grace Schmidt; his sister Nelda Adcock (Carl); his children, Christina Simmons, Kim Penzone (Pete) and Rev. Michael Knauff (Deborah); his grandchildren, Rebecca Knauff, Arlynn Knauff, Mitchell Simmons, Casey Simmons, Spencer Simmons, Adam Knauff (Courtney), Stephen Knauff (Rachel), Caleb Knauff (Ali) and Samantha Penzone; his brother Roland Knauff; and his son Kenneth R. Knauff.
A memorial service will be held at Greenford Lutheran Church on Sunday, February 21, 2021 at 3:00 p. m. with visiting hours prior to the service starting at 2:00 p. m. Please observe COVID-19 protocols.
