With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Merle E. Bowen of Columbiana, Ohio, born in Salem, Ohio, who passed away on August 30, 2023 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, E. Marie Bowen (Townsend) and Melvin E. Bowen; and his brother Melvin'Jake'Bowen. He is survived by: his wife Sandra'Sandy'; his sister Linda Bowen of Dayton, OH; his children, Michael Bowen (Dawn) of Aurora, OH, Michele Bechtel of Columbiana and Susan Bryarly (Scott) of Columbiana; and his grandchildren, Monica Matthey (Jay), Brian Bechtel (Samantha), Carleen Armentrout (David), Lauren Bowen, Connor Bowen (Rachel), Jared Bryarly and Anthony Bryarly. He is also survived by 10 great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the St. Mary's Alzheimer's Center, 1899 W. Garfield Road, Columbiana, OH 44408.
