He was predeceased by: his parents, Lornal Stevens and Catherine Sorrell Stevens; and his son Jeffrey A. Stevens. He is survived by: his wife Judy Toland Stevens; his son Bruce Stevens (Xuan) of Shanghai, China; his brother Jack Stevens (Corrine) of Connecticut; his daughter-in-law Sonja Stevens of Chicago, IL; his grandchildren, Joshua Stevens, Nathan Stevens of Chicago, IL, Aurora Stevens of Shanghai and Ava Stevens of Shanghai; and his great grandchildren, Archer, Isaac and Alice.
