She was predeceased by: her parents, George Vlahogenis and Lillian Kefalos Vlahogenis; her husband Frank Kata; and her siblings, James Genis, Zoe Abler and Toula Pompili.
She is survived by: her daughter Pamela Nemenz (Henry "Hank" Jr.) of Canfield; and her grandchildren, Stefan Nemenz (Melissa) of Charlotte, NC, Amanda Stair (Jordan) of Columbia, SC, Talia, Keren and Jonan Nemenz.
