He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Fone and Maude Carpenter Fone; and his siblings, Lillian "Sis" Hornbeck, Paul Fone and Lewis "Sonny" Thompson.
He is survived by: his wife Fay Gillespie Fone; his children, Trudy Griffin (Timothy) of Caldwell, Jill Mercer (Shawn) of Columbiana, Ohio, Randy Fone (Dawn) of Nampa and Eric Fone of Columbiana; and his siblings, Barbara Cunningham (Doug), Carol Keyes, Phyllis Fone, James Fone (Carolee) and Kenny Fone.
In compliance with Ohio State regulations with concerns of the COVID-19 virus, a private service will be held on Monday at Columbiana County Memorial Park where David will be buried.
