He was predeceased by: his parents, Arwood B. Shears and Helen Jean Shears. He is survived by: his brother Donald (John Weaver) of North Lima; and his aunts, Dolores Hanna (Jerry) of Canfield and Naomi Harris of Macedonia. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
