She was predeceased by: her husband James; her grandson James III; her parents, Lester Nails and Mercedes Nails; and her siblings, Betty Mentzer (Jack), Janet Skowronsky (Mike), Karen Parkes and Lester Nails, Jr. (Maryann).

She is survived by: her children, Laurie (Mike Auten), Jane Helms (Ken) and James, Jr. (Jane); her grandchildren, Kariann Padrutt (Scott), Kenny Helms II and Joseph; and her siblings, Barbara Malady (late Edwin), Kathy Unik (Thomas, Jr.) and Jerry Nails.
