She was predeceased by: her parents, Warren Ward and Marjorie Ward; and her husband Frank Carey. She is survived by: her children, Kenneth W. Carey (Stephanie) of Amherst, Cheryl E. Saxton of Columbia, SC, Letitia J. Scheck (Christopher) of West Jefferson, OH and Richard J. Carey (Sandy) of Norwalk; and her siblings, Hazel Ward, Cornelia Giesecke of Collins and Warren Ward of Salem, AL. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
