She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie Hayes and Erma Hayes (Hinckle); her husband Ervin "Luke" Hicks; and her siblings, Opal Pearl Lyons, Mary Francis Hayes, Stella Mae Hayes, Dora Elizabeth Moore, Elijah Lee Hayes, Charlie Allen Hayes and Relly B. Hayes.

She is survived by: her children, Barbara McGukins, Kathleen Cash (Joseph) and James Hicks (Natalie). She is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces, nephews.
