She was predeceased by: her parents, Madora Gaines and James Gaines; her grandmother Mary Davis; and her son James. She is survived by: her brothers, James Jr., Charles, Stanley and William; her husband Edgar; her children, Yvette (Taul), Dennis, Raymond and David; and her cousin Ruth Weaver. She is also survived by her five children had brought her eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
