He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Carol McDonough Ryan; his children, Pat Gallagher (Tim), Jim Ryan, Jr. (Karen), Terry Young (Warren), Peggy Seiter (Andy), Mike Ryan (Doloures), Dan Ryan (Connie), Bob Ryan (Kath), Kathy Busken (Joe), Peggy Henry (Ed), Mary Klopfstein (Andy), Pat McDonough (Debbie), Pam Noll (Mike) and Mike McDonough; and his sisters, Virginia, Evelyn and Florence. He was also cherished by 31 grandchildren and 58 great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be directed to the Alzheimer's Association.
