She was predeceased by: her parents, John Persinger and Marie Persinger; her siblings, Francis Sheplar, Richard Persinger and Freeman Workman; and her brothers-in-law, Ray McLaughlin, Harold McLaughlin and Russell McLaughlin.

She is survived by: her husband Roy McLaughlin; her daughter Sharon Bowling (Phillip); her granddaughter Lori Langdon (Ryan); her great grandchildren, Maddie, Claire, Emma, Brooks, Ella and Wills; and her siblings, Emery Persinger (Anita), George Persinger (Bonnie), Doris Byrd and Greg Persinger.
