Betty Jeanne Wharton Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Betty Jeanne Wharton of Colerain, Ohio, who passed away on December 13, 2022 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Vargo and Mary Vargo (Gocsik); her former husband Richard D. Wharton; her brother James Vargo; her sister-in-law Norma Jean Vargo; and her sister Mary Margaret Littleton.

She is survived by: her sons, Chris Wharton (Lisa) of Colerain, Bill Wharton of Colerain and Chuck Wharton of Colerain; her grandchildren, Jake Wharton (Kayley), Luke Wharton, Ben Wharton, Zeke Wharton (Amanda), Katie Neavin (Michael), Cole Wharton and Nate Wharton; her great grandchildren, Parker, Layla and Grayson; and her sister Dorothy Powell. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Martins Ferry School System, 5001 Ayers Limestone Rd., Martins Ferry, OH 43935 in memory of Betty.
