He is survived by: his former wife Nancy Woodsmall; his sons, Greg (Laura), Mark (Betsy) and Chris (Leigh); his wife Joanne Heimann; his grandsons, Gregory and Brandon (Katy-Whitten); his great grandchildren, Zooey and Amzi; his grandsons, Andrew and Matthew; his stepdaughter Morgan (Jeff); his stepgrandchildren, Camden, Ember, Ada and Meredith; his grandchildren, Ashley and Christopher; his sister-in-law Jeanne; his stepchildren, Matthew (Lori) and Karen (Ted); his stepgrandchildren, Andrea and Alyssa; and also Wyatt.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society or Hospice of Cincinnati to honor Ray's memory.
