He was predeceased by: his spouse Dean Helton; his children, Larry Fights and Jackie Funk; and his brother Steve Cox. He is survived by: his children, Bennie Helton (Karen), Ronnie Helton (Mona), Connie Powers (Rick) and Debbie Harpring (Todd); and his brothers, Ova Helton Jr. (late Darlene) and Delmas Helton (late Pat).
