She was predeceased by: her parents, James Short and Patricia Short (Hart); her spouse Danney Slife; and her aunt Pearl Williams. She is survived by: her stepmother Jan Short of Florida; her sister Patricia Wyatt of Sidney; her stepsiblings, Laura O'Sullivan and Greg Harris of Florida; and her half-brother Bill Catto of California. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews and several great nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mount St. Mary's Seminary.
