He was predeceased by: his parents, Florus Obringer and Hilda Ranly; his stepmother Rosemary Obringer (Weber); his wife Diana Obringer (Ciesinski); his son Tony Obringer; his in-laws, Richard Obringer, Betty McDonough (Dan), Jane Johnson (Charles), Chris Obringer and Nick Ciesinski; and his mother-in-law Dolores Ciesinski.

He is survived by: his children, Annette, Gary Hoying of Coldwater, Corey and Rachel Obringer of Wyoming; his grandchildren, Alexis Feltz (Justin), Carly Harlamert (Jordon), Brody Hoying, Maura Hoying, Steffi Hoying, Katie Obringer and Ben Obringer; his great grandchildren, Quinton, Tatum and LJ; and his in-laws, Ronald Obringer (Jane) of Mendon, Ken Obringer of Coldwater, Rose Obringer of Coldwater and Greg Ciesinski of Celina.
