He was predeceased by: his parents, John Salm and Mary Evelyn Salm (Wendel); his sister Barbara Post; his parents-in-law, Carl and Eleanora Werling; and his in-laws, L. C., Mary Jean Werling, W. H., Barbara Werling, Kenneth Werling and Charles Koester.
He is survived by: his children, Dave (Lisa Salm), Doug (Carol Salm), Kathy (Lewis Mangen) and Laura (Kevin Webb); his grandchildren, Morgan, Don Baldassare, Courtney, Spencer Roth, Nathan Salm, Adam, Olivia Mangen, Matt Mangen, Sarah Mangen, Jack Webb and Sydney Webb; his great grandchild Evelyn Roth; and his in-laws, Aneta Koester of Coldwater and Betty Werling of Celina. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
